On a bright and sunny day, we set off for Villa Cas Fidever after being invited on a tour by the owner, Miquel. After a lovely drive through the countryside around the villa, we are curious to see the property and are greeted with a warm welcome. It is an extremely beautiful holiday home and appears to be very well maintained. The first thing Miquel shows us is the incredibly versatile outdoor area. The property is surrounded by lush Mediterranean greenery and has some spectacular areas where you can spend the whole day outdoors, which we absolutely have to take a closer look at. Between the house and the pool there is a large covered terrace that surrounds part of the building. It is slightly elevated and offers a fantastic view of the pool and garden. On one side of the terrace there is a large, rustic dining table, on the other side there is a seating area with some very comfortable looking rattan chairs. Both areas are inviting in their own way, depending on whether you want to enjoy a cosy meal outside or relax with a cool drink. There is also a small outdoor kitchen with a brick barbecue near the dining table, where you can prepare delicious meals in the evening. Outside in the garden there is also an airy, covered, pavilion-like area where you can play table tennis. After an intense game of table tennis, you can rinse off under the handy outdoor shower and then jump straight into the luxurious swimming pool, which is a real sight to behold with its ornately tiled steps and dark blue decorations. The depth of the pool varies between 1.20 metres and 1.85 metres. When you're ready to relax, you can cosy up on the lawn or on the slightly more comfortable sun loungers at the edge of the pool, with parasols if required. And you'll probably have to find a way to decide who gets to lie on the lovely outdoor daybed, which is attractively positioned in front of a wide natural stone wall.

Now we are really excited to see the inside of this house. Is the inside of the villa as beautiful as what we've just seen here? It certainly is! The first thing we notice is how light and pleasant the atmosphere is here. The bright white walls in combination with the predominantly natural brown tones of the furniture create an ambience of casual cosiness that attracts and invites you to linger. The ground floor houses the main living and dining area, a large kitchen and three tastefully furnished, air-conditioned bedrooms as well as three modern-looking bathrooms. Leopard print sofas create a kind of safari atmosphere in the living room, where you can relax and read a little, listen to music, watch a good film on TV or surf the internet - there's more than enough to do here. And on cooler evenings, a wood-burning stove adds to the cosy atmosphere. A wide stone archway leads to a rather stately dining area if you want to enjoy a delicious meal indoors. From here, it's just a few steps to the spacious kitchen, which is fully equipped with a hob, oven, microwave, fridge, dishwasher, kettle and Melitta coffee machine. It is spacious enough for several people to prepare great meals together. There is even room for an additional dining table, which can comfortably seat up to six people. Upstairs is another inviting, air-conditioned bedroom with an en-suite bathroom and a small roof terrace with spectacular views.

The location of this villa could not be better, as the coastline around the southern tip of the island is dotted with unique bays with fine sandy beaches that gently slope into the sea. In addition, there is a country road about 300 metres from the property, which allows you to quickly reach many beautiful excursion destinations in the area. In addition to Cala d'Or (4.5 km), Santanyí (11 km) and S'Horta (4 km) are larger towns nearby, both of which offer excellent shopping facilities. You are also very close to the Parc natural de Mondragó, which, with its sights such as rare orchids and over 70 different bird species, makes this nature reserve unique and well worth a visit.

Villa Cas Fidever is situated on a 9,000 m² plot in the southern Mallorcan countryside, right at the entrance to Cala d'Or. The sea is just over a kilometre away from this holiday home. It is only about 5 minutes by car to the pretty holiday resort of Cala d'Or, a wonderful place for a stroll or a meal in one of the restaurants. There are numerous attractive sandy coves in the immediate vicinity, such as Cala Gran and Cala Esmeralda, each between 4 and 5 kilometres away.
