Property no. 3461777
Holiday home for max. 4 persons
Felanitx, Majorca, (Heartland of Majorca), Spain
The first thing you notice as you approach the enchanting, authentic Villa Son Ravell is the venerable old carob tree that dominates the main entrance, providing plenty of shade in summer and an enchanting atmosphere all year round. The extensive grounds cover an area of 14,500 m² and are well suited for a nice walk or perhaps even a visit to watch the sheep grazing nearby. There are also chickens on the finca. With a bit of luck, you will get your breakfast egg delivered fresh from the finca chickens. It is the perfect setting for a truly relaxing holiday. Thanks to its rather isolated location, the nearest villa is a good 200 metres away, Son Ravell offers an absolutely private atmosphere where you can enjoy the feeling of complete independence from the outside world. Trees line the edges of the garden and contribute to the beautiful rural atmosphere that the property exudes with a feeling of lightness and comfort. Nearby, the pool with its bright blue tiles, accessible via a ladder, invites you to swim and cool off on warm summer days. The pool itself is surrounded by a terrace where you can relax for hours on one of the comfortable sun loungers. A total of four parasols complement the natural shade of the trees and ensure that everyone can find a place to relax and unwind, so don't forget to bring a good book! And if you haven't had enough of fresh air and chirping birds at the end of the day, just stay out here all evening and perhaps use the built-in, covered barbecue to prepare a delicious dinner that you can enjoy in the open air.
The single-storey natural stone building has an interior area of 90 m² and is lovingly decorated and furnished in traditional style, as befits a classic Mallorcan villa. Typical features of authentic older villas include a sloping roof with partially exposed ceiling beams and shutters that can be closed and locked from the inside. You can see that these features are clearly evident here, and the house is characterised throughout by the tasteful use of wood as the dominant design element, which, together with the beautiful tiled floors, contrasts beautifully with the white walls and ceilings, creating an overall balanced impression of warmth and cosiness. The main room of the house consists of a large, open-plan space that includes the living and dining area, as well as a fireplace for extra cosiness on cooler evenings. From this room there is direct access to the kitchen, which is fully equipped with a dishwasher, hob and oven, fridge, Italian coffee machine, kettle, toaster and microwave. There is even space for an additional dining table where everyone can sit and enjoy a snack or two. The two bedrooms, one of which has a cot, are decorated in a simple and very pleasant style with lots of log furniture. They are just the thing for an afternoon siesta or a well-earned night's sleep. And with generous red tiles and a large shower, the bathroom exudes a charm all of its own.
If you are taking a day trip, Manacor is undoubtedly one of the most interesting destinations in the region and is full of beautiful historic buildings. But the area around Felanitx also has a lot to offer: every Sunday morning there is a weekly market in Felanitx, where you can stock up on all kinds of fresh ingredients for a nice BBQ in the villa. The landscape here is very varied, from flat, fertile farmland to steep coastal gorges, wooded hills and even mountain ranges, everything has its own charm and nature lovers will certainly find much to appreciate here. History buffs will certainly be interested in a visit to the Castell de Santueri, an imposing Moorish fortress that actually dates back to Roman times and offers a fascinating insight into the Middle Ages. The site is located just 7 kilometres south of Felanitx. Son Ravell is a charming, lovingly restored old villa in the south-east of the island, just 4 km north of the small Mallorcan town of Felanitx. You can quickly reach the town to buy groceries and other everyday necessities or visit one of the cafés. The town is also known for its wine tastings. Manacor, Mallorca's second largest municipality, is only 12.5 km away. The beaches Platja de s'Arenal, Cala Murada, Cala Tropicana and Cala Marçal are each only around 16 km away.
