Location description : Travel: Airport at 45 minutes. Coach tours. Because Madeira is a relatively small island a rented car makes the property as a good base also for sightseeing. Entertainment: Madalena do Mar restaurant is one of the best sea front restaurants in Madeira Island! As well Calheta beach restaurants are very good with restaurants, the Marina of Calheta beach, its sand golden beach and the supermarket “Pingo Doce” for a big shopping or as well Ribeira Brava town with all services, shops and supermarket “Continente”. The property provided a good base from which to tootle off and explore nearby villages and towns, walking during the day along Madeira's fantastic Levedas and whiled away the afternoons in the secluded garden sun trap surrounded by banana trees. Have double aspect views of the sea and the mountain and was filled with sunshine for morning cup of tea in bed! Only nature and relax!

10: If any problem happens or you need assistance; please be educated and friendly with our representative. Do not in any circumstance be rude, ugly, bossy, or do not demonstrate superiority to our local representative. Remember always that you are not in your own house or country and the locals have their own different culture. So, we advise that we are not responsible if you act in a bad manner.
11: Avoid damage and disgruntled neighbors.
12: If the owner demonstrates any breakage in the accommodation within proves inside 48 hours after you check out; you will assume the costs of repair or the value to replace any equipment or material produced by the breakage during your stay.

    “Es war wunderschön, genauso wie auf den Bildern mit Terrasse und Balkon mit Blick zum Meer. Es gab eine zweite Küche, wo man Grillen mit Holz konnte, auch eine zweite Toilette. Es war einfach traumhaft. Die Vermieterin sehr nett. Positiv: Die Freundlichkeit und die tolle Aussicht Negativ: das Licht im Zimmer war für mich etwas zu dunkel, ich muss aber dazu sagen, ich bin aber sehr helles Licht von zu Hause gewöhnt.”

    “Positiv: Wunderschön renoviertes, altes Haus mit Blick auf den Atlantik.

    Sehr ruhige Lage (von einer Baustelle in einigen hundert Metern Luftlinie abgesehen).

    Das Schlafzimmer ist sehr geräumig und durch den Holzboden und die Dachschrägen sehr gemütlich.

    Die Vermieterin war sehr freundlich und sympathisch, hat sich aber leider nur einmal kurz gezeigt.

    Auch von der Wohn-Küche hat man einen Blick aufs Meer und den üppigen Pflanzenwuchs direkt auf der Terrasse vor dem Haus. So wird schon das Frühstück zu einem besonderen Moment. Negativ: Das Haus ist maximal für 2 Erwachsene mit Kind ausgelegt, für vier Personen gibt es nicht ausreichend Platz.

    Keine einzige Steckdose im Bad.

    Der kleine Wohn-Küchenraum ist mit Sofa plus vollwertigem Einzelbett völlig überladen. Weniger ließe den ansonsten einladenden Raum besser zur Geltung kommen.

    Es gibt keinen Elektrobackofen, sondern nur einen mit Holz befeuerten in der Nebenküche. Also nicht geeignet für Selbstversorger die mal "schnell eine Pizza" in den Ofen schieben wollen.

    Das Schlafzimmer hat vier Fenster von denen sich drei nicht verdunkeln lassen. In unmittelbarer Nähe ist eine Laterne. Wer ein Problem damit hat sollte sich, wie wir es gemacht haben, mit Pappkartons vor den Fenstern behelfen.

    Das Haus liegt in Prazeres, rund 10 km entfernt von Caletha. Es ist dort sehr abgelegen und schwer zu finden in einer der vielen Nebenstraßen. Ein Restaurantbesuch ( Solar Dos Prazeres in 3 km Entfernung) ist ohne PKW nicht möglich. Ebenso wenig ein Spaziergang in der Nachbarschaft. Denn die Straßen sind teilweise extrem steil. Freizeit: Die ganze Insel ist einen Ausflug wert und sollte deshalb auch ganz erkundet werden. Dank vieler, gut ausgebauter, Schnellstraßen und Tunnel ist es möglich vom Ost- zum Westende der Insel in rund 2 Stunden zu gelangen.

    Auch ein paar Wanderungen sollte man einplanen. Einmalig schön und auch für Ungeübtere noch gut zu wandern, da nur wenige Höhenmeter zu überwinden sind, die "25 Fontes".
    Leider ist der Wanderweg (wie andere attraktive Ausflugs- und Wanderziele auch) zeitweise übervölkert, da gleich ganze Busladungen mit Touristen herangeschafft werden.”

    “Das ist ein wirklich sehr schönes Quartier. Für 2 Leute geradezu ideal. Prazeres ist ein guter Ausgangspunkt für Fahrten über die ganze Insel. Anfänglich ist es schwer sich in dem Gewirr der Nebenstraßen zurecht zu finden und den gewollten Weg zu erreichen. Positiv: die herrliche Ruhe und der morgendliche Blick auf das Meer Negativ: es hätten mehr Haken in der Wohnung sein können, die Stühle und der Tisch auf der oberen Terrasse sind schön, aber unbequem zum Sitzen. Beste Reisezeit: das kann ich nicht einschätzen, wir waren im September / Oktober auf der Insel und fanden es wunderschön. Faszinierend waren vor allen Dingen die absoluten Wohlfühltemperaturen sowohl tags als auch nachts Umgebung: Supermarket, restaurant, tourist office - am besten ist der Supermarkt in Calcheta, direkt an der Strandpromenade, aber auch der Markt in der Nähe der Unterkunft bietet alles was ein Selbstversorger benötigt. Empfehlung: Couples - Völlig ausreichende Möglierung, durch die 2 Terrassen kann man auswählen, ob man den freien Blick zum Meer und der Sonne oder den schattigen Meerblick haben möchte”

    “Sehr ruhiges Häuschen im Grünen mit sehr ansprechendem Blumenschmuck. Das Schlafzimmer oben war nicht durch eine Tür vom Wohnzimmer unten getrennt, so dass evtl hartnäckige Schnarcher (auf der Schlafcouch im Wohnzimmer) ein Problem darstellen könnten.
    Die Vermieter (als Nachbarn "getarnt" - offenbar, um nicht dauernd behelligt zu werden) sind freundlich und hilfsbereit. Terasse hat 2 Liegestühle, auch Gartenmöbel vor dem Haus ermöglichen, die Abendsonne zu geniessen.
    Sehr guter Ausgangspunkt für Wanderungen und Ausflüge; Einkaufsmöglichkeiten und Restaurants sind in der Nähe. Mietwagen unbedingt nötig! Positiv: Die Küche ist sehr gut ausgestattet. Sehr gutes Wlan-Netz. Negativ: Zu wenig Haken für Jacken usw. Kleidung zum Hängen konnte nur im 1. Stock im Kleiderschrank untergebracht werden.Zum Lesen war abends zu wenig Licht - im TV gab es keinen deutschen Sender.”
