self-catering holiday home for 17 persons in Val Gardena, a top destination in the Dolomites This detached house is at the entrance to Wolkenstein in Gröden, in a quiet location on a private side street with very little traffic, so it is very suitable for families with children. It is surrounded by meadows.
It is a self-catering house in a top holiday region and provides seven bedrooms, seven bathrooms, a large kitchen, a small kitchen, a dining room and lounge, a 1000m² meadow all around the house. On the lower floor you can find the kitchen (new in 2012, with a ceramic hob, induction stove, oven, cutting machine, kettle, dishwasher, coffee machine) with a seating corner. There is also a living and dining room for 18 people with satellite TV (new in 2012). It has a bathroom with a WC and a ski storage room with a ski boot warmer. On the ground floor there is the private apartment (not available). On the upper floor there are two double bedrooms with a shower, bidet, washbasin, WC and balcony. There are also two three-bed rooms (a double bed and a single bed) with a shower, washbasin, WC and balcony. In the attic, with slightly sloped ceilings, you can find a small, cosy kitchen-diner (stove, oven, fridge) with a seating corner for five or six people, a satellite TV and a balcony. There is another double bedroom with a shower, bidet, washbasin, WC and balcony, and another three-bed room (a double bed and a single bed) with a bath, bidet, WC and balcony, along with a three.bed room (a double bed and a single bed) with running water and a balcony, a shower and WC.
Outside there is a lawn/private garden of around 1000m², with ten deckchairs, ten garden chairs, five garden tables, two wooden benches, two wooden tables, two parasols, a barbecue, and parking space for seven cars.
The owners live in a separate apartment on the ground floor and are available to reply to any queries you may have during your holiday.
The surroundings and day trips: the house is surrounded by well-kept lawns. The forest is about 100 metres away. The small river is about 50 metres away. The house has views of various mountains. There is a restaurant/pizzeria 300 metres from the house. The bus stop is 300 metres away. For sports enthusiasts: there are countless hiking trails to rustic huts, which start right from the house. There is a ski path to the valley station of the “Saslong” world cup piste 1km away and to the entrance of the famous Sellaronda with 500 ski pistes. Not far away there are the cross-country skiing centres (2km) from Monte Pana to Seiser Alm and Langental. You can go snow shoe hiking, sledging and ski touring. There are outdoor and indoor pools with a sauna and wellness (6km) nearby, as well as a climbing hall, ice skating rink, tennis, bowling, pool, riding, boccia and table tennis (in the house). For those interested in culture: concerts, traditional processions, folkloric festivals and many other events are held. In Wolkenstein (1.5km) there are shops, restaurants, après ski and the ruin of Wolkenstein in the Langental. You can also visit St. Christina (1.5km), Fischburg, the sun clock on Monte Pana, the Tervela waterfall or the Christmas market. In St. Ulrich, with its picturesque centre with an inviting pedestrian zone, you can find a Folk Museum, the Unika gallery, the craft exhibition Art 52. You can go on a round trip to the Dolomites passes. In Brixen (35km) there are the Aquarena fun pool, the Hofburg with museums, the Pharmacy Museum, the cathedral and the cloister with late Gothic frescoes. In Bozen (43km) you can visit the Dominican Church built in 1270, the Ötzi Museum, the Archaelogical Museum, Runkelstein castle with frescoes from the 14th and 15th centuries, the Talfer promenade, the Messner Mountain Museum, the Thuniversum and the fruit market. In the wider surroundings you can find the warm bathing lakes of Montiggler See (60km) and Kalterer See (71km), as well as Meran (74km) with the gardens of Trauttmannsdorf Castle, the Museum of Tourism, Rametz Castle with wine tastings, the castle cellar tour and the museum, as well as the thermal baths and the Kurpromenade.
